Default HURRY - K&N at Ebay for $44 (incl ship)

If anybody's interested, there's an auction with 4 of the 33-2052 K&N's (Recommended by Oreilly's for the RX300). I'm gettin one...

There's a couple of others on Ebay for an undetermined price (Reserve not met). If you search on "K&N 2052" in title and description, you'll find 'em.

Cya,
Hando

Edit: Sorry, no links to ebay auctions.

sorry about that ebay link. I didn't know it wasn't allowed... but it makes sense now.

I was just so excited that I found the K&N 33-2052 air filter for under $45 including shipping... NEW.

I went to my local Checker Auto Parts and they said they'd have to order them for me. So I figured I might as well go online and get them from a small business...

Thanks,
Hando

Advance Auto Parts, Autozone, Pep boys...I see them all over at just about any parts place. Call around and ask if they have the K&N 33-2052 in stock, then buy it, drop it in and enjoy.

I should have mentioned it was a dutch auction. The seller had 4 of these filters.

You can find these filters like they said at most any autopart store. You can also do a search on Ebay like I mentioned in my original post...

I just had to prove that I could get them for under $45, and I did

So...Did you buy one? If so, have you installed it?

I haven't received the filter yet. I expect it to be here in the next few days.

I'll be monitoring my gas mileage and feel for any performance improvement. Moving to Denver (mile high) from Oregon, I lost some performance and some gas mileage. Hopefully I can gain it back with some mods that help my RX breathe easier.

Air Filter came via UPS on Friday. I installed it and drove all over the place this weekend. I should be filling up later this week and will calculate my new gas mileage.

I've been averaging about 18.5mpg since moving to Denver. The traffic here is hell. From others' testimonials on this board, I expect it to improve to about 20-21mpg.

The verdict is in. If you don't already have a K&N High Flow Air Filter, go buy one!!

My first tank of gas with the k&n got me 22mpg mixed city/hwy driving. I used to get around 18-18.5mpg. That's about 68 miles further per fill up.. I'm tracking my mpg and if it's drastically different (better/worse) I'll post the info.

Thanks!
Hando

Hando. I've seen an average of 8.5% gain overall. That includes a lot of cruise control/highway driving.

18.5mpg to 22mpg is an 18.9% gain. Wow.

Are you doing the math when filling up or relying on the car's computer?

Doin the math... not topping off the tank. I took a highway trip to Breckenridge from Denver which went from 5200ft to 8000ft to 6000ft, then the opposite back to Denver. I'm approaching empty again, and will be checking the mileage. It'll probably come back down a bit since I've done more city driving on this tank. There's a definite improvement though!!

One thing I noted was I reset the computer mpg before running the tank. The avg mpg was almost identical to what I calculated!! It was off by .1mpg!!

I dig watching the AVG MPG going downhill.

It just starts ratcheting up the average,
almost like the RX is making gas.

MPG view? fuggedaboudit.
