Default Rear bushings - any help

Just had my '99 RX in for inspection and all went well to pass but the technician stated that the bushings on the rear sway bar are wearing down and should be replaced at some time. They did not have the part and did not quote a price except for about $45 labor.

I am unfamiliar with these parts other than that I looked things up and they seem inexpensive to buy. Any reason to try it for a diy'er? I searched the forum and did not find much information here.

What type of symptoms should I be experiencing or what will I see once they definitely go bad?

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You'll hear a knocking type of noise over bumps from the rear when these go bad.
Yeah they should be under $10 a side + $45 labor = $65

My RX have 162k+ miles on it with original Sway bar bushings.
Unless they start making noise, I'd keep my money in my pocket.

It should be relatively easy to replace them. Be careful though as some bolts maybe rusted and might break upon taking it off.

I'd post pics but Wifey has the RX right now. Maybe tonight.
