Thanks for the link. I think this is the part: Lexus RX300 Hatchback Handle Bar

Can you tell me about the installation process?

you have to open the hatch. pull the cover off the back of the tailgate (inside part). it is held on by pop fastners....so all you have to do i pull on it.

there will be 4 nuts that hold the handlebar in (i think they are 10mm) remove them.

from the outside of the vehichle you need to remove two screws that hold the plastic covers for the liscence plate lights. the tailgate bar will pop out and then reverse the process to install.

it comes with a install guide. good luck and if you need anyother help let me know

that is actaully a lot of work. it can be done but you have to modify some wiring to be able to do it. also the factory radio is molded to the lcd housing. you have to cut that part to seperate the factory lcd and move it down. take a look at your factory setup......there is no space between the radio and lcd housing. it is all one piece. so you have to cut it.....scary process. luckily i found another factory piece. so i have a modded one and a stock one.

The project is almost done. We got the rear finished (molded the boxes for better fit, finished amp rack on the back of the seats, covered in vinyl that matches factory leather perfect) the front is close to being done.

My friend that was helping me wife had a stroke. She is only 28 and making a great recovery. So I have not bothered him for the last 2-3 months. We'll finish it soon though.

The chrome mirror covers took a while to grow on me. At first I was going to take them off and sell them, but I like the look now. it ties some of the other chrome together.

The tail handle cover is great. Love the way it looks with the chrome tailights. Makes the hatch area look a lot better in my opinion.

Hows your project coming along?

Mine has slown down tremendously as I have a new Harley I been fixing up...............I am never going to have a huge saving account lol.

Default Car looks awesome

Shonuff,

your car looks awesome!!! It's definitely the best RX300 I have seen on this site. I was just wondering where you got the chrome steering wheel emblem from?? I have been looking for one for my RX300 but all I can find is the carbon fiber one. Thanks
