Hello all I was hoping that I could get some help with my lexus that has
a good 130,000 miles but it runs great except for a knocking sound that
comes from the rear of the car.. It usually happens when you step on the
accelerator when the rumbling sound begins... I spoke to someone about it and
he mentioned the rear shock mounts might be the cause.. Any help will be appreciated...

I'd have someone outside the car as you accelerate at slow speed on an empty street to pinpoint the sound.

Yeah I had the same issue with mine. at around 130,000 miles or so I started hearing a knocking/squeaking from the rear end over bumps specially when it was cold outside. Let Lexus service take a look, the rear shock was leaking fluid. They replaced it about $500 installed.
