So, I went out and did some research and found out that there is a process you can follow to program an additional key for your car, all you needs is the keyless remote piece. So I went on ebay and purchased a blank key shell, and a used key with the FCC ID: HYQ1512V which one web site said was the proper FOB for my car. I am pretty sure I am doing the process correctly because with my old key, I am able to erase the programming so the key will not start the car, then reprogram the car to accept it. However with the new key I purchased off of ebay, going through the exact same process that works on my original key, I can not get the car to accept the new key.

How do I figure out if the keyless entry remote that I have can be programmed to my vehicle?
