Default 99' owner with ? about 02/3

Hi, i have a 99 Rx and i'm thinking about trading it in for the new updated style. Either 02/03. I was wondering what kind of lease deals are people now getting with the Rx. I'm interested in getting it with the navigation and the coach edition because the mono-tone looks sweet. Thanks

Default upgrading

I'm waiting for the new model to be introduced next April.

Even if you wait til then I would suggest you not get the Nav unit. The Lexus Nav is so unreliable as to be useless, you can't know hen to trust it or not. And the ergonomics of the standard LCD is so very much better that it's unbelieveable that Lexus would screw the Nav (equivalent use) display up so horribly.

Wait.

Thanks for your reply. What details do we know about this knew 2nd Gen. RX that should be coming out. If you say april, is that the show date or release date. Oh and could you please elaborate on the negative of the Lexus Nav. I thought that since it is DVD based it is far better than that of bmw and nearly on par with Acura. Thanks

PeterY, don't let wwest confuse you. He has issues with Lexus, but won't get rid of his...go figure.

The Lexus nav. is very similar to the Acura nav. in how it functions and it's reliability. IMO, and many others, the Acura and Lexus DVD navs. are among the best in OEM's. The upcoming GX and LX and LS will have voice recognition navigation systems.

RE: Nav system. For the record in 1998 I had the Magellan 750 installed in my GMC Envoy. In 2001 I purchased for my wife a 2001 RX Nav. There is no comparison .... the Lex system knocks the socks off the Magellan which is a hard drive based system so it was signicanly faster than the cd based systems. I just traded in the 1999 and purchased another RX WITH NAV! I did take out the Magellan and put it in my son's 2000 Grand AM. The Nav is faster and more accurate on the RX...hands down!
