Default My New 2001 Silversport RX300, new to me

It has 104,000 miles talked the dealership down like $1500. It is pretty much flawless. One owner all maintenance done by Lexus on time. I just did the whole DIY tranny drain and fill, replaced the transmission filter, and replaced with Amsoil ATF and Amsoil Fully Synthetic 5W30. The magnets had very little metal shaving on them. I am very pleased with this car so as long as the transmission doesn't fail.

Wow that still looks like new! Someone took really good care of that car. As long as you continue to maintain it well, I bet it goes another 100k with no issues.

Great looking RX even with a monochromatic interior. I kind of like it compared to my 2002 RX Coach edition.
What does the little badge say that's on the rub-strip next to the front door?
The car looks like it was well maintained and should give you many miles of good service.

RX's from 2001 and up said "VSC" on the front door.

you need a Navigation Retro! Someone is selling a kit in black on the RX classifieds...look into it!

Don't be scared of the transmission. Just do the regular maintenance such as drain and fills and you will be fine. Most people don't come on a forum to brag about their transmission so keep that in mind... But there are people with 225k + without tranny problems and there on the original tranny. My uncle has an RX300 with 280,xxx miles and he's on the original tranny and he's got a 99' with AWD. I myself have 150,000 miles on my RX and it's on the original transmission; she still runs like the day it was driven off the showroom floor.

The transmissions were updated mid-year 2000 so if you want to be safe buy an RX which is a 2001 and newer.

i love the silver versus wood grain interior...if my interior wasnt tan/grey i would def. look into swapping out. I like everything about the RX in general except for the damn pre tinted class sucks!!!!!!!!!
