My original door lock actuator/assmebly died to day. It's the original
one that came with my '01 RX300. (the driver-side front door)

I plan to buy the OEM actuator... yes, I know it's $$$...

Is it possible to take out the actuator without first removing
the window glass regularor mechanism in the RX300?

Titan- it's been a few years since I did it but I don't believe you have to take the regulator out, only the rear window guide.

SC experience is that window rolled up. Undo the panel. Remove moisture barrier. Unbolt (torx screws) the door-catch. To create room to bring out the lock, I had to un-screw the bottom screw of the glass guide. [Sc is a coupe, RX rear door has a cut].

Most important is keep track of how the thing comes out. Mimik the same twist and turns when you put it back. Lucky for you, there will be no key lock mechanism.

GS300 experience: I didn't have to remove the regulator. It did take some careful manipulation to get the actuator out though.

No, Just roll window up before you start....just did it.
