anyone else have this issue? when i roll the driver window down it sounds like im killing a cat. motor works fine but sounds like its rubbing against something awful

Had a similar problem with my '02. Use some silicone spray on a rag and lube the weatherstripping channel that outlines the top and sides of the window. If you have aftermarket tint applied make sure the silicone is totally dry before raising the window again as this may damage the tint.

Yup I have this problem as well,used silicone spray but problem keeps coming back when it dries up.Next I tried silicone grease but that did not last either.Now I am planning to neatly stick a black velvet strip cut out of a velvet cloth that surely will stop friction sound between rubber and glass.I will info you all how that worked once it's done.

gonna try the silicone. My guess is its the lace molding inside. Those tend to dry up on cars with time and eventually cause the vertical scratches alot of older car windows have. let me know how tha strip works
