RX300 2001 light on D position?
Hi,
I see all light up on the console when I move the gear stick except at driving ( D position).
Since I bought a used car, I do not know it is normal or not.
If not, is it easy to fix by myself?
Thanks,
MCR

The bulb inside the gauge cluster is burnt out. Of course, the "D" bulb is usually the first to burn out, since it's the one turned on 95% of the time you're driving. How mechanically inclined are you? Removing the cluster and replacing the bulbs is a fairly simple repair for the average technician, but it may not be something a layman would want to attempt.
Most important, whether you do it yourself or pay a mechanic, be sure to have all of the bulbs inside the cluster replaced. Most shop will charge 2 hours of labor ($150-250) to replace these bulbs, however the bulbs themselves cost pennies, so you don't want to do the whole job again next week when another burns out.

Thank rkuelbs,
Is the bulb dead affect any other functionalities of the car?
if not i am not in rush, but I will replace the whole later at sometime.
I am an programmer but I am confident that I can do most of mechanic work ( skillful not muscle job).
Can you please direct me to the guide?
Again thanks,
mcr

Thanks,
This is a great help.
I usually refer to do thing myself even construction since I rarely satisfy on what "pro" did.
Most of the time, I have to redo or touch on their messy and pain for my hard earn money wasted.
Thanks again,
McR
