Default Gold Kit

I am looking for a source from which to purchase (at a reasonable cost) a "Gold Kit" for my 2002 RX.
(The exterior body script, emblems and badging)
Any forum members heard or know of a reliable source out there?
Any input would be appreciated.
Thank you

It is also a dealer upgrade option, so a visit to local dealership parts should get you possibly the best and most expensive plated parts.

Typically you turn in the Chrome ones and they get coated and sold to the next customer. It takes few years to see how the coating is holding up.

How they look on your vehicle (based on its color) is subjective. The gold(en) emblems used to be very common 10+yrs ago and the fad is gone.

Thanks for your response Salim,
Unfortunately my nearest Lexus dealer is over 250 miles away.
However I will check with my local Toyota dealer. They have a department there that specializes in after market accessories for Toyota's. Perhaps the fellow that manages the department will know of a source.
You're right, I don't see the Gold Kit on any many post 2003 -04 Lexus's. It seems to be an accessory that kind of ran out of popularity after 2004 or so.

I got my gold package from the dealer in 1999. I pay around $350 with the wheels cap. They are very easy to install and hold up pretty good. But after 11 year, they look little fade now and the wheels cap look very fade.

I had a gold set put on my black 2001 RX and several years later they were already fading/peeling. No doubt some of that is due to my neglect of not washing and protecting them enough. I agree with others that the taste in gold emblems has faded, I originally got mine becasue there were so many black RX's in my area I wanted some way to make my vehicle not get lost in a crowded parking lot.

I didn't get the emblems from the $tealer, instead from a OEM parts reseller like Irontoad. You can also get a set here for about $200 http://www.autonetperformance.com/Au...us/RX/main.htm

I less expensive option is to send out your existing chrome set to be gold plated. This can be done with any reputable metal plater in your area or via the Internet.

Hope this helps,
TC
