I have 170K on my RX and just put in new Toyota mounts and Toyota struts.
STILL CLUNKING!
The new struts are not much better than the original with 170K on them.
My advise is dont change them out unless they are really worn out and you are bouncing around.

I did find my trunk lid was un bolted at the hinges and that was causing 60% of the clunking on very small pot holes.The lid is the trunk floor door that covers the spare tire. I must have removed the lid one day and never re attached it.

Default Lexus clunking noise..

I forgot to mention that i also replaced the transmission mounts and they were in bad shape..
