Hi All,
I am wondering how can one tell by the look and identify if the rx300 is 2001 model or 2002 model. It looks to me that 2001 model and 2002 model are the same on the exterior. Thanks

The VSC label.

01 and 02 are identical. Same exterior factory colors and options.
Exceptions: 01 silversport editions and 02 coach editions.

Perhaps, the small VIN tag in the corner of the windshield, on the driver's side, may help one distinguish between the two model years.

or this 2001, or this 2001.

I've read tales of VSC badges left off RX 300's from both model years. Even stories of the badge installed on only one side.

I took the first part of your question to mean, "how do I destinguish between previous models and the 01/02 series". Both 01 and 02 should have the VSC labels but I don't know of any readily noticeable differences between the 01 and 02.
