Reading ABS codes
Hi!
Does anywone here know how to retreve the ABS codes?
My ABS light used to blink, then it would be on steady for a few minutes, now it stays on constantly. Someone in another thread mentioned using a jumper wire on the diagnostic plug under the hood. Has anyone had any experience with this? I would like to try to stay away from the dealership if possible.
Thanks!

All I know is that Lexus has a dedicated brake diagnostic port. I have never looked at it and I am not sure if the OBDII scanner can be hooked to it or if it is Lexus propitiatory connector/protocol.
At times you have to pay the piper. Get it diagnosed and then decide to have it repaired or DIY.
Other thing to consider is what has been done recently to trigger the problem. Suspension/wheel work may have dislodged a connector or cut some wires. etc.

Hi Salim!
You are always there to help. Yes there is a diagnostic port under the hood, by the master cylinder. Thanks!
I think I found it on the web...http://www.autoshop101.com/forms/brake10.pdf
I'm going to try it later
