The moonroof on my 2003 RX300 won/t close.![Sad](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/sad.gif)
The switch clicks twice, but the roof won't move.
Any way to manually close it????
Thanks

Try holding the switch.

The moonroof opens with the switch, but won't close.
If you put the key in the driver's door, and turn it counterclock wise, the moonroof closes.
I am thinking the switch may be bad.

I had similar problem on my 99 rx300. My roof would not close frequently.
I found taking the key out and restarting the car it would then be able to be closed.
I also did a hard reset (disconnect negative bat cable for a few minutes) to reset the electronics.
Try the reset before buying any parts.
I also do the resets yearly after cleaning / replacing Air filter / cleaning MAF sensor.
Let us know how it works out.
Good luck

Have you reset the ECU, like the previous poster suggested? It may just be a quirk. If it still doesn't work with the switch then it's more than likely just the switch itself.
