Default Door lock actuator fix? help!

So I bought the universal door lock actuator off of all electronics.com and pretty sure I have no idea what to try now.too everything off and tried to make them fit but didn't end up working. Does anyone have a detailed instruction and pictures on how to do this project?

This should get you some help. It's a lot of pages of wading through but the information is there. Post 96 has the pictures of one of the jobs that I did. I actually explain the process a couple of posts before that. Hope this points you in the right direction.
