Cost for a New Key
So my dad just gave me his old 2000 RX300 and he lost both of his keys which had the keyless entry buttons on it. So the only key that I have is the valet key.
How much is it going to cost to get at least one new key with the keyless entry? I called my nearest dealership and for some reason they wouldn't give me an answer, so please don't say call a professional, it didn't work. Also, the nearest dealership is 3 hours away, so if its going to cost me an arm and a leg I don't want to make the trip.
Please & Thank You!

New Key
Try Ebay. You will need to get instructions to program the electronics to work with your car and get a blank key (also on Ebay) which will have to be cut by a dealer or locksmith. Probably looking at a hundred to a hundred and a quarter total.

It is a bit complicated.
First it seems, that the master key is lost. Master key is needed to program duplicates to be registered with the ecu. That means a new ecu along with new keys OR have having the ecu reflashed [I doubt that a dealer would do this]
I would say call the dealer again and talk to a service agent or service manager and explain your situation again.
Call well known locksmiths and see if they can handle Lexus.
