Would you sell your RX300?
I had a woman at a Lexus dealership come up to me when she saw me pulling in with my 2002 Coach edition, wanting to know if I would consider selling my RX/300. She had one (unsure of the year, color, condition, etc), which was a "total loss" after an accident on a highway.
She (much like myself) likes the RX/300 much better than its successors.
If your RX/300 is still in decent shape, would you consider selling it?

When our '02 was in the shop we were provided with a '10 RX350.
My wife and I both agreed we preferred our '02 RX300.
That said, we will eventually have to downgrade to a new RX as ours has 165,000 on the clock.

Right now the RX is way more precious to me as its value (to me) is way over the Blue-Book value and no one in their sane mind would offer me that. So for now we are going to be together. Also I am not itching to buy another vehicle. 12 yrs have passed and lot more is being offered, but I have not come across a vehicle for which I would give up my 99RX [styling etc].

Very few cars have aged as gracefully as the RX300. It still looks as fresh as it did 12 years ago. In fact many of the newer SUVs have copied the RX300 general shape. Our 99 black 300 still looks good especially after a wax job.

I would never give mine up... I don't care if you offered me 10k or 50k. It's more valuable to me than anything in this world, it belonged to my cousin before he joined the U.S Army and this is one of the only things I have to remember him by. I bought it from him before he left to go to IRAQ. I'm going to drive this car till the world comes to end, or atleast I'll store it but I won't be selling this EVER.

I recently made the decision to keep mine for the foreseeable future. I was lusting for a 350ML but when it got down to it, I couldn't let this one go. It only has 75K and is positively the best car I've ever owned.
I've been doing a major fluff on it, new headlights, 18" chrome wheels, seats out detail, yada, yada. I'll drive it until one of us drops.

I have driven in a 400h -- quite honestly, the front seating seems more like a coupe -- very crowded.
I don't think that I'm alone in stating that if Lexus was to reintroduce the RX300 as it was when it was discontinued (with a few "minor" upgrades, such as steering wheel audio controls & illumination upgrades) that it would outsell the current 350 / 450h.

I have a 01 Silversport which might not be as rare as a coach edition but like yours it is a timeless design. Ive thought about selling it and getting a 07 350 but thats a 10g difference for 50 hp. I would also have to get the 400h rims and grill so for now ill just enjoy as a low milage RX300 is hard to find. Note this is the second300 ive had.

Had my 02 rx300 coach edition since July. A true pleaure on our 360mile trip to see Grandma'! We actually are not worn out after this every other saturday trip. Just did the 90k tune up at a very nice independent Japanese auto store in Seattle. My friend that sold it too me has confessed he liked the 300 beter than his new 450hb! Put OEM wioper blades on too. Nice to be able to see without streaks!

i'm parting with mine as i need something stick and faster. so i'm going with an 11' STI. on a side note my trans took a crap 3 days ago. and i do not need/want to fix it and dump more money into a car that i don't need. so basically i just lost a decent chunk on this car because of this trans. its now for sale for 4kobo and i'm just overwhelmed at this point with it. BUT owner ship until now was excellent it was my first car and i loved every minute of it, it's a tank in the snow and got me through some pretty rough storm rides up north.
