does anyone know of rear air shocks or heavy duty springs that can be installed in the RX300? i haul alot of tools for home repair/ handyman projects, and ride low and bottom out over dips and speed humps. (no matter how cautious i am) i probably have 600 or 700 lbs of tools in the vehical at all times, most of it near the rear hatch. thanks for your help "al"

i thought the same thing, but there is no place to mount them. i've put bags on my e-350 ford van (between the springs/axel and frame) that was cake. but theres no room, or a position that i can think of on the RX. I've talked to strut manufactureres, spring shops and nobodys got anything. i've thought of getting struts and modifiying them to contain air shock instead of gas shocks. seems like a good idea for a new product. don't know how much call there is for them though. i'm probably the only one that uses a luxury SUV for a work truck. the only reason i do, is the dealership wasn't going to give us anything (4K) for it when we bought our 2007 RX350. so i just kept it for a work vehical. (on small jobs)
thanks for the response though.

I sure would like to know also. The superduty Air Ride bags are fantastic on my E350 (or any that use leaf springs), but I haven't found a kit for any cars that use struts. It would be cool to use some kind of link from the bottom of the rear strut to a remotely mounted air spring, and with the r & l supply Tee'd like Air Ride's sway-control system. Sway control and stiffening/leveling the rear of the RX would be sweet (especially if it used off the shelf parts). If Air Ride wants to test fit an RX, I'll volunteer. Maybe someone else knows. We couldn't be the only few who contemplated this, after all Lexus offered a complicated proprietary system on RX300's with a performance package that was found on only a few.
