Pretty slick!! I did something very similar to calibrate my torque wrench. Used a 75lb wheel weight from my tractor. Used a beam scale to determine its exact weight. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my 20+/- year old Craftsman Digitork was dead on.
Art- You a farmer.... or just pretending to be one? And what's this with a 75 lbs tractor wheel weight? Those tractor wheels must REALLY be hard to balance. Can you imagine if they got that in the wrong place, be like Mr Toads Wild ride! (quiet evening, just trying to liven it up a little)

Roger, these are actually magic wheel weights. Every year they get about 10 lbs heavier. Pretty soon I won't be able to lift them!

Greetings Art, Because my work all my life was physical, I used to be strong as a bull, I've looked high and low and don't know where it went but it's gone and I can't for the life of me find it! I think some young whipper snapper came by and stole it while I wasn't looking... If I ever catch him I'll... I'll... well anyway...
