Default Stock Headlight Bulb (non-HID) Question? thanks.

Hello everyone,

Wonder if anybody know if the stock headlight non-HID bulb (9006, low beam) on RX300 is 35w or 55w? Want to change the bulb to siliverstar ultra bulb( (55w) for my 01' Rx300, but not sure if it is too high. Thanks a lot.

Thanks MaxSteel. How long have you run the ultra bulb? I just got two installed, they are really bright. No doubt.

I'm sorry Rich, I did not keep track of their longevity.

BTW the pep boys circular for Oct 10-16 has the silverstar ultra twin pack for $34.99 after a mail in rebate.

Hi richonline, how can you install the non-HID bulb, since connector look so different. i bought a pair of non-HID bulb 9006 low beam from Auto parts store and then i do not know how to install it, because of base 's bulb HID D2R different of base's non-HID bulb. And then i had to return them back to store....and get the HID D2R Sylvania cost 119 dollars....
