Rear knocking sound and wheel play
Hey guys....I am still in the midst of finding a good shop to take the RX to check out, and in the meantime thought I might ask here:
I am getting a bad knocking sound coming from the rear driver side of the car..almost anytime I run over anything not completely flat...as I was looking around down there I noticed that the wheel and strut seem to have a little play side to side....what do you think has gone bad?
strut mount? strut? any idea?
thanks in advance guys!

Play is not a good sign. I would at this stage, hurry to the first reasonable shop OR garage the vehicle till I find a good reputable shop.
When things are tight and secured, there is only static force acting on things and the minute there is play, dynamic forces apply and lot of damage (material and personal) can happen.
