My ac light started blinking and the compressor would not turn on. I replaced the magnetic clutch relay with p/n 90987-02028 and also had the freon levels checked. The problem is still there. Any ideas what I should try next?

Put us on the list with our RX300 as well.
I heard the loud belt squeal a few months ago on the highway while the AC was on.
Afterwards, the AC light started blinking when engaged and nothing happens afterwards.
Local shop said the compressor should be replaced.
He didn't bother checking the clutch.
Could that be it?

What is the condition of the accessory belt?
Did you describe the failure or the mechanic looked at the problem? If the mechanic looked at the problem, he most likely looked to see the clutch engaging. Most of the clutch problems are 'fail to engage'.
If you do not trust the mechanic, please find another one.
