new owner rx300 city mpg issue or normal?

Where in Texas?
If this is inner-Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, or even Austin traffic, 15 MPG with the A/C on and the 10% diluted gasoline we get now, is about right...unfortunately.
Also, and this isn't a dig on your wife's driving, but does she typically have one pedal in use all the time? People would be amazed how much fuel can be saved by relatively gentle starts and if you see you're going to have to stop, just back off an coast. Above about 1,300 RPM, the fuel injectors shut off, so it's 'free' MPG.

I just did routine maintenance on mine yesterday.
1. Cleaned the MAF sensor with Electronics Cleaner.
2. Cleaned the IAC valve port.
3. Pulled the whole Air box out and washed it out, then wiped it dry.
4. Cleaned my drop in K&N Air Filter. It needed it. Lots of dust & particles. (Probably had been a couple of years.)
Highway mileage had dropped a couple of MPG's. Now back up to 23 on regular 87 octane.
