I might add one thing- just a FYI but when you have an overheated engine and you're going to pull the cap to add water, IF you have access to a hose (or ADEQUATE amount of water), run the water over the front of the radiator. Within 10 seconds it will COMPLETELY remove the pressure from the system and you can remove the cap safely. The evaporation of the water passing through the rad. fins is instant cooling. I know this from experience on several occasions and from other auxillary cooling system experience. If water is limited, all it takes is a spray bottle because mist cooling is actually better than flooding. (this is done with the ENGINE RUNNING!)
