Default **** i hate the midas service guy...

so i took my 01 rx300 to midas shop for brake pad change and instead the car now has transmission problem. WTF!!!!!!. the trasmission was working smooth but now all of a sudden it jerks when changing gears. omg i am soo mad now. will show him tomorrow. i had already had trans flushed once.

There can be a list of variables that could've affected the trans.

When doing the brakes, did they change the fluids?

Did they 'top' them up?

nope...no fluids was changed ..just brake pads

When you perform a FLUSH on a transmission you are basically "kissing" it good bye. A drain and fill is what you should do, as it doesn't cause harm. In my opinion a FLUSH causes MORE HARM than good.

well i according to records the "transmission fluid changed". That was like last year and since then was running perfectly fine.

Could be speed sensor. Check the sensor on each wheel. they could have damaged the sensor or yanked on the wires.

they definitely messed with something in there man. in no part of changing brake pads should they have come anywhere near the transmission. i guess they know one way to get repeat business. my recommendation would be just take your car to a Lexus dealership. might be expensive, but they know what they're doing.

Sorry, I wouldn't take a goat cart to ANY of the national chain shops, transmission, lube, or otherwise. (service shops) WAY to many horror stories out of those places (and plenty of pictures to back them up.)
