Right front fog off, left highbeam off
Hi,
I'm having a weird issue. When I turn on my highbeams, one of my fog lights go off and on the opposite site one of my highbeams won't light. I've already tested for a bad bulb. I think it's an issue with wiring because in my state it was required that ALL lights be on, so when the head lights are on, the fog lights are on, regardless of the switch position. This issue only comes up when I put the high beams on. Does anyone have any idea where I should look to fix it. Will it be a jumper wire right behind the lights or will it be closer to the fuse box?
Thanks.

Fog lights are supposed to go off when the high beams are on, and is the law in many states.
You may want to check for a blown fuse for your high beam... I'm not sure about the RX, but I know that on my Highlander, there was a separate fuse for each bulb (I had both my high beams / running lights blow the same day, so I thought it was a fuse, that's when I discovered they were on their own fuses).

The problem was...
A stupid mechanic. He replaced my bulbs and for some reason switched the high beam & fog light on that side. Oh, and he couldn't figure out what the "problem" was either. Gives a new meaning to retarded.
