My favorite is when BMW said, "it's no big deal, the driver can just use the hand brake if the brake linkage fails at low speed" The average X5 driver where I live (30 year old ditzy trophy wife), won't figure that out in time to prevent squashing my ES at the local mall

LOL...Use the hand brake!! Maybe BMW will change the name back from parking brake to emergency brake I can't believe the Mini is already being recalled.
