RX300 rear passenger window switch
I have a 2000 RX300 with a rear passenger window problem. Once in awhile when the vehicle is started the rear passenger window will come down about a 1/2 inch. How do you take the switch panel out? Where are the tabs to pry on?
Reason I ask is at one time I think rain got inside the on the door panel and ran into the switch.

Anything is possible, but I doubt that water getting in there would cause that kind of action. Why would it stop at 1/2"? For that matter, why would it go down at all? I believe a more reasonable explanation would be that it needs to be "reset". Don't know why it would start doing that in the 1st place any more than I know what goes on inside of a computer.
Try this: run the window all the way down, then run it ALL THE WAY UP, BUT HOLD IT AT THE TOP for about 5 seconds before you let go of the switch. That will reset it and MAY fix the problem. I'll let you know the address to send the check to if it works. JK. I hope that takes care of it.

It sounds like what my '02 is doing... in my case, it is the driver's master switch (I performed some "unscientific" tests on it to confirm, such as banging on the driver door panel & having the rear window move down slightly).
I bought a replacement switch from a salvage yard (hoping it works!), but it has been too cold to attempt to replace.
My solution for now is to turn the Windows Lock switch on.

code58, sorry for the response delay, I tried the procedure and it did not work. The window keeps coming down a bit, but not all the time this happens. Still I would like to remove the rear passenger switch panel. Any help with that? Thanks.
