hi pressure power steering hose

went to toyota dealership to get a oil change and was told i need hi pressure power steering hose.they wanted 600 for parts and labor. is this fair?

I looked up that hose, and what a beating, the hose alone was $330...maybe look for a used one at a junk yard...

There are places who manufacture pressure hoses [well they have a roll and they cut it and attach heads to it]. Look for them under "hydraulic" or bob-cats etc.
