Default Looking for a new motor.

So apparently the issue we were having with our RX was that it was burning up oil to the point that the motor seized on us. Looking for a new 1mz-fe for her and figured I would ask if anyone here knows of any good deals. LMK.

Thanks.

Look for used engines on www.car-part.com
It's basically a junkyard database. It should help in your search for another engine.

So I found a Japanese crate 1mz-fe from a FWD Camry/Avalon. I hear that the block on an AWD is different than a FWD. Can anyone confirm before I buy the motor?

The block itself is the same as its a 1MZ-FE but the im fairly certain that the bellhousing pattern is different for the Avalon and Siennas. I have also looked into this and from what i gathered you should keep looking

You can't get one from a camry or avalon, you have to get another engine from a RX300 or a Highlander. If you go the highlander route, i believe you have to change one engine mount (do a search).

FWD engine's are different from AWD engines.

Cant find any info that 100% on this though but from what ive researched it just seems to be the rear mount. The rear motor mounting point on the block is different from FWD to AWD from what ive seen. As long as you get a AWD from RX/Highlander you should be fine.
