Front end creaking noise left turn
My front end is making a creaking noise when i turn the steering wheel left.
The noise can be heard either making a slow left hand turn and also when the car is not moving by turning the steering wheel left.
It is a 2001 with 108,000 mile.
Any ideas befor i start getting dirty?
Note this is not the common steering wheel squek problem, noise is from the front end.

Hey Knocker, any updates on your problem. I got the same annoying problem on my 1998 GS300 and its driving me crazy. It makes a loud embarrassing creaking noise when i turn the front wheels.
Any ideas to fix this would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know. Thanks

Yes i would bet it is the top of the strut has come away from the body mine has and so have same problem We will likely need to get a new mount welded to the car. You will probably stuff your tie rods also and they will likely need replacing too. It has come time you need to do your suspension. If you continue to drive you will ruin your steering and then when that fails crash. I am needing this also along with a transmission my car looks good but is rather cactus for 110,000kms 68,000 miles.
