Question Can you fit, A Baby, two Adults and three Dogs on a RX300..??

Hi First posting here...

I read about 45 pages of posting but I did not see a related topic so I'm asking.

We are looking for a new "Car" and we are wondering if we can fit all "the Family" on a RX in reasonable comfort before we fall in love with them, No longer trips are plan and we have a old Range Rover if we want to go camping or something like that, So it will be use for mostly around town little trips.

Any advice is very much appreciated

thanks

Lauren & Ricky

The rear seat has a split fold-down feature, so 40% of the rear seat can hold the child seat and the other 60% of the rear seat area (folded down) plus rear cargo area could be devoted to your canines. I am not sure that a child seat will tie down to 40% of the rear seat, so you would need to check that out. A clear cargo area and 60% rear seat fold-down creates a nice area. Maybe you could fabricate a padded comforter that size?

Thanks Bob, Do you know the approximate square footage of the rear area...?
Lauren wants a Honda Element since she find them "Cute" and they do have a pretty good space, But I'm looking for more interesting and "Fun" alternatives like the RX300

I made this "Mat" out of old road bicycle tires and the doggies love it, Is super soft, cushy and grippy, plus all the dirt falls to the bottom (cover with 1000Cordura) so you just washed with a hose from time to time, but I'm sure for the RX i will need something more "Elegant and classy"

The front/back distance from the top of the folded down seat to the rear of the rear area is a little over 5 feet. It is probably closer to 6 feet to the back of the front seats. I know this from carrying lumber in the back.
