Changing display screen from MPH to MPG question
I just got a '99 RX300 and noticed last night that my display screen has what I thought was MPG average.. but looking closer noticed it said 24.2 MPH average.
Is there an easy way to change this by pushing the buttons that I have yet to figure out ?
thanks so kindly, ozarkflyfisher

Welcome to Club Lexus!
Yes, it's actually quite to simple to switch modes. Just hit the "info" button once and it'll change the modes.
To rest the average mph, average mpg, or time driving keep the "info" button pressed down.

Thanks for the quick answer... I will check it tomorrow in the daylight. Sounds terribly easy once I find the info button I have yet to locate.
One other quick question - do I have to run all the side marker lights by law ? I bought a replacement front pass side light.... mine was broken a little. After I looked up replacing the light marker that was actually broken but still working - tonight I also noticed that only 2 of my lights are actually functioning at the moment, and I have read some about the removing of the plastic shrouds to get to the bulbs and how it can be a little bit of a challenge as the coupling might be water damaged.
Can I just wait for the 2 bulbs that still light to stop and call it good ? or do I have to them all lit up like would showroom new to pass inspection in Jan 12 ?
thanks again, ozarkflyfisher

My experience is that the states I have lived in required all bulbs/mirrors that came with the car to work. I found water in one of my marker light housings. The connector was corroded, but the short cable with connector to the bulb is a replacment item. I drilled a drain hole in the bottom of the plastic and no problems since.
