My 2000 rx300 is making a loud vibration sound from the rear when ever i accelerate past 20 and when i turn on the car it starts up a little rough.then it idles fine

I had to make a new post because everybody seemed to just read my problem instead of answering it.

so can somebody help me out. thanks

Just a thought, but I wonder if the muffler is "blown" on the inside. There would be no leaks, but if the packing or whatever inside has disintegrated, it would certainly increase the noise under acceleration. My daughter's '99 has the original muffler and it's still quiet -- a replacement type may have a shorter life.

i decided to go to the Toyota dealership and let them do a full diagnostic so that way i will know for sure what the problem is and then i'll have my family mechanic replace the problem because i know the dealer will definitely over charge me. i will be going there later on today
