I have a 99 RX300 AWD with 70k miles on it. When i first got the RX i got about 16-17mpg. Right now I can get 18-19mpg average. that's city/highway driving combined. I always put premium gas in the tank. I can probably push 20-21mpg if i was on a highway trip.

Cargo area has 1 or 2 breif cases....nothing else. There is a roof rack. Still getting around 17 MPG....note: My wife travels to 2 offices, one is a 4 mile trip, the other is 12 miles. Maybe it's just not getting a chance to "warm-up".

IS 300: 18/25 MPG (Monday, SEP 30...I hope)...anyone want to buy a 93 Celica Convertible?

Any add-ons, like running boards, that add extra weight?
What's in the cargo area?
AWD adds a 209 pounds.
Rated 18/22 mpg city/highway

IS 300? Rated 18/25 mpg city/highway.

I have an '02 RX AWD that has only averaged 18 mpg, and about 95% of the driving is done on highways. I'm only at 5,000 miles so perhaps it will break-in and improve later.

Mario,

Are you referring to Canadian (i.e., Imperial gallons) or U.S. gallons? Either way, I'm amazed at the low MPG figures compared to what I get; but, as was mentioned earlier in the thread, I guess it's most likely subject primarily to driving style.

Hi, all
I can see all the MPG numbers here, but how many miles can your RX run with a full tank? Base on the normal driving condition (75Highway/25City), how far can yours go? Please mention your year because 1999-2000 has smaller tank than 2001-2002.

My average 250 Miles on 99 RX AWD with Premium Gas.

Does it look normal? How about yours?

Thanks

I get on average about 16-17 i am all city driving. i have 1999 AWD and i drive rather aggressively and it makes a big difference, on the highway i get about 19- 20 with cruise control set at 8-85 mph. i have gotten as little as 13 mpg in the city, so it depends majorly on driving. i also noticed that after i got the new motor (not rebuilt after sludge-up but out of the crate new) i only got max 15mpg for a while but it broke in after a while.

Smile Great MPG improvement

I read the thread about cleaning the Mass Air Flow sensor (MAS) and replacing the air filter on a RX330 -2005. I was getting about 17 MPG Highway mileage and not too happy about it. I did what was suggested and on a 37 mile Highway trip I got 44 MPG !!! I couldn't believe it but my gas gauge confirmed it. Thank you for the suggestion !!!
