Default A/F sensor (P1155)

I ordered the sensor from Amazon.com and it suppose to arrive in 5-8 days, am I okay to drive with faulty sensor for this long or will it damage my 02 RX300?

Welcome to the Club.

It's okay. You might notice some decreased miles per gallon, but it will be okay until you replace it.

Thanks for replying Lexmex. Didn't want to damage my ride. Got the part # off a post, it cost 97 dollars on Amazon and 170 at local parts place.

That's the heater. It won't make much difference if you drove it till the fall. The heater is primarily important in cold weather, it's not even on much in warm weather. If you use a Scan Gauge you can see how quickly it goes to closed loop and the heater is off then. There are other times it may come on briefly (when coasting down a long hill) but most of the time in mild climate it's along for a free ride. Our son and DIL drove for about 6 or 7 mo. when in Seattle till they came back home and I was able to replace it, and could tell virtually no difference, except the light was on. It was also the heater code. I cut it apart after I had replaced it, and indeed the heater element was broken.
