Depends on whether you're just doing a drain and fill or a complete change. For a drain and fill it will take about 4-4.5 Qts. (US) and for a complete change (pump through) it will take about 11-12 Qts. (US).

[QUOTE=lserlohn] why not synthetic?
Your right! I would use either Wolf`s Head, or Castrol Import vehicle fluid. Do at least two changes with in a week to get all the fluid out. Should probably do three changes to be sure.

x2 or 3, whatever it is. I've been using Castrol Import Multi-Vehicle and it's been working perfect.

Regarding quantity: I changed 9 3/4 quarts, but I wish I'd bought a whole case (12 quarts). I would have used it all. I drained the trans pan, refilled, and pumped 5 more quarts into a large container from the cooler return line with the engine running briefly. If you're only draining the fluid in the pan and differential, 6-7 quarts might be about right. Check the level before draining, and measure the amount that you drained out.

i have changed my transmission fluid drain and fill ...i have remove exactly 4 litres of fluid. So i have put the same amount of fresh ATF. When i drove a few blocks and highway, i returned home to measure the fluid. I'm surprise that the liquid line was above the Type IV line dipstick. Is that ok? Or Should I drain a bit just below the HOT line?
