I just put the Yokohama Avid EnVigor on...they have great ratings and are very reasonably priced....I guess we will see how they handle in the snow in a couple of months. so far I really like them and they are nice and quiet and feel like they grip he road well. I did go up to 18" 60's which is slightly larger, but I wanted a little more cushion in my ride.

I had the BFG all terrains on my 99 Jeep Cherokee Sport and they were super in snow, sand and mud, even the sticky clay here, but the only cleaned mud at high rpms, showering my roof with mud. Quite noisy and balance problems. Some swear they were "buttet proof", but not in my case. I was going shooting and backed over some cartridges in the desert, heard a "pop" and my left rear tire went instantly flat. Had Sears road hazard, and the tire guy said, "Did you know a buttet went through your steel belt?" A flattened .45 rolling around inside, a mark on the wheel. Never happen again in a million years. I might use these tires on my RX300, but I'm afraid they might be very noisy.
