Has anyone ever tried this, and if so does it just pop on? (it looks like it does just click on): http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lexus...ht_2482wt_1182
<< I probably won't buy it from ebay though, the shipping is expensive. ( it probably isn't but they just don't want to pay the "ebay" tax.
I want to get the wooden steering wheel from 01 and up. But this solution looks cheaper. I don't care for the shape of the 01 and up, I basically only want the wood so I don't mind getting this cap. Plus, I think the 01 and up had different air bags or something along those lines preventing a direct swap of steering wheels.

Yeah, that's why I'm hesitant to do that. Plus, it's probably more expensive than this cover/cap thing. I mostly want the wheel for looks, plus the leather is starting to get worn on my wheel at the top.

Hyper I would not, but that is just me.
The wheel will become fatter .. the leather wrapped is fat and with a cover it will be fatter yet. The wood ones are thinner.
The snap on will have 2 seams and I prefer smooth no seam feel ... the leather one as a stitching seam (only one).

Good point!
If I can find a steering wheel cap cover for $50 with shipping included, I'll give it a shot and see if I can get used to it. Otherwise, I'll get a 01'+ Steering Wheel .
I don't plan on getting this for at least another year, as the steering wheel is still in good condition but I just wanted to know my options when it starts to wear.
