Advice needed Getting ready for 90K service
I'm getting ready for the 90K service on my 2003 RX300. Aside from oil changes and a O2 sensor, I haven't done anything since the 60K.
I found a local mechanic who I trust to do the service. Two questions for this group:
1. Should I order OEM parts for the mechanic to use, or simply let him put on whichever ones he orders thru his channels. Does someone have a list of what parts are needed for the 90K?
2. Is the Lexus 90K service the authoriative list to follow, or does the group have any extra suggestions (i.e. do more, do less...)
Thanks,
David

Use OEM parts, but there isn't much that needs to be bought aside from fluids.
For 90k I suggest, tranny drain and fill, rear diff oil change, transfer case oil change.
Check the belts (not the timing belt) replace if necessary.
Check/Change Engine Air Filter, Cabin Air Filter
Check/Change Power Steering Fluid
Bleed Brake Fluid if necessary
Nothing else really. Just the normal checks, such as brake wear, tire wear.
The manual has a whole list of things, i don't think most of them are necessary.

@90K, timing belt should be changed and all the parts in the drive train should be examined [ideler, tentioner, water-pump]. Also coolant drain and fill.
