I've read several posts here that talk about the engine warranty being extended to 8 years on the RX300. Just wondering if this is for all years/models (AWD & FWD) and where I can get some more info. on this subject.
TIA!

This is for all years and all models (as well as Toyota models with 3.0 L V6) for 8 years from original sale date, in response to the sludging/gelling problems encountered by a small number of owners.
Will post a link when I've got time to go find it, if another member doesn't beat me to it.
Also can find more info on Edmunds under their Town Hall forums.

OK am I the only one who read the press release! I am a little bit pissed off! My Rx300 engine locked up at 80mph on the highway with cruise control set. It had 43,000 miles and had every recommended sevice done by the dealership and the oil changed every 3,000 miles (LEXUS says you can go 5,000 BTW) This vehicle was very well maintained and in the press release they stated that the sludging was due to unusual and improper maintance, thats BULL its a factory defect! Also FYI I was told by the dealer that they only fix the sludging 1 time, I think this is rediculous because if it happens once why wont it happen again?
