Default How long are the tires supposed to last?

Hi everybody. As you may notice I am a new member of the club. Thanks for all your good tips.
I own a 1999 RX 300 with 29,000 miles and started to notice that soon I'll need new tires. Is this normal? I remember that my tires in my wife's minivan lasted for 48,000 miles (Michellin).

That can vary greatly depending upon the brand and model of tire you're using... Are you talking about the Goodyear Integrity's or the Bridgestone Duelers?
If you're talking about the Bridgestones (which mine came with), I've got 37,000 miles on mine and they are still OK... Haven't decided if I want to replace 'em before Wisconsin winter or not yet, but probably don't need to be.
If you're talking about the Integrity's I don't have any experience with them, but if you do a search on them here I'm sure you'll find the info you're looking for.

Sorry for omiting the details. The tires are the Integrity. They are ok in the center but not on the edges.

Goodyear Integritys are warranted for 50,000 miles.

If you're interested in pursuing any warranty claim, unfortunately, that warranty will only get you more Goodyear Integrity tires at a prorated price, plus installation and other taxes/fees. Uneven wear may prompt a Goodyear seller to question the maintenance history and possibly even void the warranty. I expect you should have sort of record of tire rotation in order to enforce this warranty.

Perhaps a change in tires? I have 10K on my Integritys and I'm ready to move on, but I'll probably move to a 17 or 18 inch wheel at the same time. The popular choice in this forum seems to be the Michelin Cross Terrain.

Good luck.

My 2000 RX AWD came with Bridgestone Duelers. The tires have worn evenly but there is only about 1/10" tread left on all 4 tires with only 31,000 miles on the odometer. These tires are supposed to be good for 60,000 miles. Seems to me they are not a good match for the car. I understand Bridgestone has a free replacement policy down to 2/32" of tread. Has anyone tried to get a free replacement from Bridgestone? Any success?

My Duelers were also approaching the end of their life at 30k. I replaced them with Michelin CTs.
