Default 200,000 on the odometer '99 RX 300

Well I think it's cool anyway. Hope to be posting a photo at 250k in about three years. Only problem in the last year was replacing one ignition coil.

Congrats, it's officially broken in! It'll make it to 300k easy! It's a Toyota!

Thats a landmark! Congratulations.

Would love to see couple of lines talking about the "total ownership experience".

Not the original tranny. I lucked out, bought my RX certified used 3 years old with the 100k CPO warranty. Tranny failed at 90k and got a remanufactured tranny from Lexus gratis in 2005 or 2006. Been fine ever since but I have done drain and refills every 15k since. Always wondered if the reman used better parts than were available in 1999. Admittedly I'm no mechanic. No problems at all with the tranny since the reman over 110,000 miles ago. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Nice bro!

I have 176,322 on the original transmission. Hopefully I didn't jinx myself right there!

I hope to take a pic once mine hits 200,000 miles ... which should be in 2-3 more years, lol :P

Yes - that was by far the single biggest repair bill. Compressor failed, probably around 115k. Cost me $1,000 at a Lexus dealer and has been fine ever since other than the past year or two the Air Mix Servo has been clicking, that's the only current issue and it's otherwise running great. Checked with indies on the A/C compressor but they could not do it for less as there is no after market part, only the Lexus. I know I went through my bills once responding to a post on repair costs, think the total was around $2,500. Not bad considering I'm just about at 10-years of ownership.

Salim, I'm not sure if you are asking me to comment on total ownership experience, but you have a couple of times been very helpful responding to my posts, so in case you are, I will try to answer - the CPO was great, 1.9% financing when that meant something, free brand new Lexus loaner cars for warranty repairs and maintenance, a new transmission and engine put in free under CPO warranty, and after over 13-years on the road (in service June '98) my Lexus still runs smooth and is a beast in the snow. Yes there have been some repair bills but overall it's the first vehicle I have developed an attachment to; it will be a sad day when it's gone.

Thank you. We have 138k on our right now. Original tranny and A/C. Runs great. But thinking it might be time to sell and upgrade. We too, have loved the car.

Yes, $2500 is excellent for all the use and years you've gotten out of 200k miles!!!!

Yes. My question is was your experience as an owner. Some times when people review the vehicle, they forget about the total ownership experience .. which includes dealing with dealership and driving a certain brand of vehicle. Owning the vehicle is more than the vehicle it self.

Thank you for you comment(s).

My RX300 is at 210 K now. Original tranny drained and filled every 30K miles.

Exterior paint is mint. Apart from frivers seat, rest of the leather is mint too.
