P/S FRONT AND BACK DOOR WON'T OPEN and LOCK
My passenger side front and back door locks won't open and close with the remote key. I tried also my driver side main switch but still wont work but sometimes couple of tries doing it and sometimes work. I need to get in the car to open and lock the doors manually. Your help is very much appreciated.

There should only be 2 of the wires that go to the door lock actuator that actually lock and unlock the door. You may need to pull the front door trim off and jump juice to those 2 wires and then reverse the juice to see if the lock actually locks and unlocks. Do it on the front door 1st and if that lock doesn't work, try the same thing on the rear door. That will eliminate any other problem being the cause. My bet is that the actuator motors are bad, since it's the FRONT and REAR door on the right side. If the motors work when jumped directly then the problem is somewhere else. If they are bad, you either need to replace the lock actuators (pretty expensive) or you can do the "piggy back method" which is quite cheap, but requires you being able to do the work. There are abundant instructions on this forum and the other Lexus forum for exactly how to do it. I have done quite a few of them and it's not bad if you're mechanically talented.

Hi Code58,
Thanks for your reply. I've been changing some parts on my Honda Accord and recently I did the window regulator, but never tried my RX300 opening the door trim. Well, i'll take your advise and one of these days will work on it.

There are good instructions with pictures by Lexmex on removing the door panel. As I said, also good instructions with pictures on this forum and the other Lexus forum on doing the piggyback lock replacement. Depends on how deep your pockets are whether you do the actuator (lock) replacement or the piggyback, should the locks actually be the problem. The actuators (universal aftermarket) can be purchased online for $5. ea. or less.
