Default RX300 rear-ended, good source for body parts ?

My 99 RX300 AWD was rear ended last week (street parked and got hit, driver left no note) and since I have liability insurance only, I need to see the best way to get this fixed. I went to an auto body shop for estimates and with parts and labor I got a quote of about $2500

Here is a list of what needs replacement

Exhaust Muffler
Rear bumper cover (probably needs to be painted, finished, clear-coated )
Rear bumper reinforcement bar
Rear bumper absorber

Is this something I can do myself and just outsource the bumper cover work to someplace ? Is there a good source of body parts where I can source these parts from ? I am in the SF Bay Area and would really want to keep the money I am putting in this car to a minimum.

Apart from this I have some preventive maintenance planned and have already bought parts worth $700 to do a bunch of maintenance (timing belt, water pump, brakes, all fluid flush, spark plugs, ignition coils etc). I would really want to minimize the amount of money I want to put in the car. What do you guys think ?

I have an used exhaust muffler from my 2000 RX AWD if you need PM me. It is good and I removed for upgraded to dual exhausts. For other parts like Rear bumper cover after market brand VARIOUS MFR price $ 122.89 and bumper reinforcement $ 35.00 at Rockauto.com. You could check. Goodluck.

Or, check local junkyards. www.car-part.com

You really just need a bumper cover, and a muffler. No need to get the foam, reinforcements, etc. Plus, all rear bumper covers are all the same color basically, so no paint will be required.
