Problem with dome light not lighting
The vehicle is a year 2000 Lexus RX300.
The problem is that the dome light doesn't automatically operate when any of the doors are opened and there is no indication when a door is ajar. The light can be turned on for reading with the 'on-off' switch. The vehicle has a sun roof so there is only the one switch which is either on or off and doesn't slide to allow other options. It's obvious that no electric current is reaching the light from the doors and it's doubtful that senders from all five doors failed at the same time. I don't know what checks or tests I need to conduct. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
