Default Is it possible to retrofit OEM navigation?

If so what is involved?

And if not have any of you guys installed aftermarket systems?
What brand and model are best suitable for the first gen RX's?

Thanks

Yes, it is possible.

Yes and if you want seamless (factory) look (you get a/c control) that can be done too. Non factory retrofit is an option too but you have to move the controls. Search and you will find the posts by folks who have done this. But dont forget to determine the cost. (installation and upgrade). Incidentally the GPS has gone through many generation since RX300 came out. Remember to find out the generation and see if it is still supported.

I would steer you away from it and suggest a more powerful and easy to upgrade gps systems. They can be moved from vehicle to vehicle. My son uses iphone 4GS with Garmin application. With Aux-in and a robust stand the whole setup is at fractional cost.
