Default V timing

I would like information concerning the variable timing on a 1999 RX300 AWD It is giving the code P1346 . It is a misfire in the 1,3,5, cyclinder Please If anyone can help or is this just a dealer only fix Thanks I was talking to a guy who said it could be a relay controlling the timing that is bad. The early part of last year the the coal and the plugs were replaced. The vehicle also drinks gas like water and some times hard to start.

Salim, thery only made ONE RX300 in '95, and he was lucky enough to grab it.

Welcome to the Club.

The link mentioned by my fellow esteemed moderator and friend Salimshah talks about this code. To add, this is not something simple to fix or even diagnose. You can clear the codes or bettery yet, pull the battery cable and see if the situation returns, but often times this requires examining the timing belts in-depth. This is something I would leave to a mechanic or dealer. However, as Salimshah pointed out, any recent timing belt works on occasion can leave this error. I recently helped a neighbor do a timing belt and water pump changeout on his Acura TL and we kept our fingers crossed when we started everything up that no code ensued.
