Default LED license plate lights DIY?

Really curious about getting LED's for my license plate.

But as a rookie/noob owner of the RX300, I don't know much. Which is why I thank this forum for all the DIY's it provides

But now ... the other day, I saw a first gen RX300 on the road with LED license plates lights on it and it caught my eyes. I really liked it and now I would like to do it myself.

Thing is ... I don't know where to start. What will I need? What type of lights? And how would I access the lights once lifting the trunk?

Thanks.

LED are cheap now, I bought them off ebay. It's plug and play, looks good on our RX.

FWIW... I've bought cheap ones on EBay that lasted less than 2 months. I'd buy the best ones you can find. They'll still be very cheap.
